No matter how time-conscious you are during a trip to Versailles, this excursion almost always takes two to three hours longer than planned! It’s known for being one of the most lengthy day trips, due to the fact that no on really knows how fast the lines and tourist centers are going to move at any specific moment.

1. Monument Cafe in Versailles

If this cafe were in Paris’ center, I would probably eat here everyday. For just €26 you’ll have access to a buffet worthy of the royals themselves, complete with starters, cheese boards, main meals, and desserts.

The best part is that the cafe is a short walk from the main entrance to the palace.

A comfortable spot that combines classic French, with an air of America in the 80s (at least the soundtrack takes care of this). The food is sensational; many cafes in this area have upped their game due to the healthy competition in Versailles between chefs.
