Born on 12^th march 1971 in Pakpattan, central Punjab in Pakistan, Bushra Maneka is the third wife of the immediate former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan.

Bushra Maneka who was born Bushra Riaz Wattoo married Imran Khan six months before he became the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Bushra Maneka’s family hails from Central Punjab and is a conservative, politically influential family.

1.Bushra Maneka is a Mother to Five Children From Her First Marriage

Bushra Maneka was first married to a former senior customs official called Khawar Maneka with whom they have five children i.e. two sons and three daughters.

Khawar Maneka is the son of a former federal minister in Benazir’s Bhutto’s government called Ghulam Mohammed Maneka. The couple divorced in 2017 after they agreed to end it.

2.Bushra’s Children from Her First Marriage Are All Grown Up

Bushra’s children from her first marriage to former senior customs official Khawar Maneka are all grown up. Her sons Musa and Ebrahim Maneka pursued higher education abroad after graduating from the Aitchison College in Lahore in 2013.

Two of Bushra’s three daughters are married. Her eldest daughter Mehru Maneka is married to politician Mian Atta Muhammad Manika’s son. It was reported that Mehru Maneka joined Imran Khan’s party known as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Bushra is known to be an introvert who does not like attending social gatherings and events. Since her current husband became the Prime Minister of Pakistan she has barely appeared in his political events and has largely avoided public glare.

Imran Khan has indicated that he supports and respects Bushra’s lifestyle choices and preferences. Bushra wears a veil in public all the time. It is stated that Imran Khan did not see her face until they were married.

 He proposed to her while she was wearing a veil and after she divorced her first husband. Bushra leads a private life in Bani Gala in her husband’s sprawling farm house.

4.Bushra Comes from A Prominent Family

Bushra was born to a family that is not only conservative but influential politically. The clan in which the family belongs to is called the Maneka clan. The Maneka clan is a sub-clan of the Wattoo clan from central Punjab in Pakistan.

The Wattoo clan, popular in Pakistan, claims to have descendent from Hindu king Raja Jaisal who founded Jaisalmer. Her original home is Pakpattan town which is about 250 kilometers southwest of Lahore and is known to be home to the Shrine of Baba Farid.

5.Bushra is  Possesses Mysterious Spiritual Powers

In Pakistan Bushra is known as Pinky or Pinki Bibi which means holy woman. She is a  faith healer and has mysterious spiritual powers.  

Unconfirmed reports allege that Bushra was told in a dream to marry Imran Khan by Prophet Muhammad to improve the state of Pakistan and also improve the condition of Imran’s life. Both Imran and Bushra are followers of Baba Farid whose shrine is in Pakpattan town where they met.  

6.It Was Reported That Bushra Got into a Fight with Imran Khan

Several reports in February 2022 disclosed that there was a fight between Bushra and her husband Imran Khan over undisclosed differences.

A journalist had reported that the fight led to a separation and Bushra went to live with her friend Farah Khan in Lahore. However, Farah Khan refuted the allegations and said that Bushra was still living with her husband at Bani Gala in Islamabad.

This was not the only fight that was reported. Previous fights had been reported which were related to differences over Bushra children’s stay in Bani Gala and Imran’s pet dogs among others.

7.Bushra and Her Husband Are Followers of Baba Farid

Bushra, famous as Pinki Pir or Pinki Bibi is a Sufi scholar, spiritual mentor and faith healer who before their marriage helped Imran Khan on spiritual matters.

Imran became a frequent visitor to Baba Farid’s shrine in Pakpattan after he gradually got inclined towards Sufism. He met Bushra Maneka for the first time in 2015 in Pakpattan as he went to visit Baba Farid’s shrine.

Imran Khan went to pay homage to Baba Farid who is regarded as a Sufi saint and was hosted by the Maneka family. At the time Bushra was revered as a faith healer regarded as a leader of pilgrimages to Baba Farid’s shrine as well as a Sufi scholar.

8. Bushra Consulted Her Children Before Accepting Imran Khan’s Marriage Proposal

Initial reports before Bushra married Khan indicated that she had married him in a secret function. However, Khan’s spokesman denied the allegations and indicated that Khan had only proposed.

When Imran Khan proposed to Bushra she did not accept his proposal immediately. She requested for some time to consult with her family and especially her children before making a final decision.

The media was regarded as attempting to sensationalize the marriage affair to build some public interest. However, Khan’s spokesman urged the media to keep off the affair as it involved a private lady who was not in public life.

9. Bushra Has Been A House Wife with No Social Media Presence

 Bushra is strictly a very private person who spends her time in Bani Gala, the sprawling farm house owned by Imran Khan. She has been a house wife and a spiritual guide to Imran Khan.

Bushra does not own or operate a bank account. She has no face book, Instagram or Twitter account. She has therefore no presence in social media. According to her husband any social media accounts in her name are fake.

10.Bushra is Said to Be A Mysterious Lady

Reports emerged that Bushra’s reflection cannot be seen in the mirror in 2019. Some staff members in the Prime Minister’s residence had alleged that Bushra’s image does not appear in front of a mirror.

Pakistan media later clarified that her reflection can be seen in a mirror and the allegations were untrue. Bushra has however be seen sort of a recluse who despite being the wife of a public figure is very private.

Bushra was also said to keep two jinns which eat meat. It was reported that Imran used to provide two vats of meat for the jinns whenever he sought spiritual guidance from Bushra in Pakpattan before they tied the knot.
