London pulsates with a different kind of energy during Wimbledon Tennis Championships. The manicured lawns of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon transform into a stage for sporting excellence, drawing fans from across the globe. The world-prestigious tennis tournament kicked off yesterday and are set to run until 14th July 2024. While the public ballot has already closed for tickets, worry not!
You can still get tickets with the Queue option
Scoring a Centre Court ticket is the ultimate prize for sure, but the Queue system still offers a chance if you missed out. Each day, 500 tickets are up for grabs. Yes, you can still buy premium tickets on the play day.
The queue usually starts in the evening and extends up to the next day, as fans line up to try their luck. It begins in Wimbledon Park, which is about a 5-minute walk from Southfields Station. Arrive early to increase your chances of securing a ticket in time for the game.
Fans are encouraged to download the Wimbledon App and create a myWimbledon account to receive live updates. Upon arrival, proceed to the end of the line, where you will be issued with a queue card. You have to keep the card until you reach the Ticket Sales point. See all ticket prices for all dates. For additional information on the queue and visiting guidelines, visit the official website.
Beyond the courts, savor some British fare
No Wimbledon experience is complete without indulging in classic British fare. Sample the quintessential strawberries and cream, a taste explosion of sweet and tart, or grab some piping hot fish and chips from a nearby vendor.
Venture beyond the courts and explore the charming streets of Wimbledon Village. Duck into a quaint shop for a souvenir, sip afternoon tea in a traditional café, or soak up the atmosphere in a historic pub – the perfect way to unwind after a day of nail-biting matches.
