If you enjoy Jenna Ortega’s work, you’re in for a treat because the Wednesday star could be part of the forthcoming sequel of ‘Beetlejuice 2,’ a continuation of the story from the first movie. Ortega has swiftly emerged as one of Hollywood’s most in-demand young Latina actors. She has shown a lot of growth from being a child actor to securing major roles such as the Netflix series Wednesday, Scream, The Fallout, Yes Day, American Carnage and X and many more . The actress has simply become a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment world.

For those who don’t recall, you should definitely go watch it especially if you are fan of horror-comedy, but I’ll give you a brief recap. Here we go, so Beetlejuice is a classic timeless 1988 American comedy-fantasy film directed by the one and only, drum roll please…..Tim Burton. You may recognize some of his works such as Wednesday, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride and Edward Scissor hands.

The film stars legends like Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, and Winona Ryder. The plot of the movie is about Adam and Barbara Maitland, a recently deceased couple, who find themselves haunting their former house in the town of Winter River, Connecticut. In order to frighten the new occupants of their home, they seek the aid of an bio-exorcist by the name of Beetlejuice.  This film is simply legendary and it is one of the major films that established Tim Burton as a visionary director.

The movie alone secured over $70 million as revenue at the box office. It wasn’t long before a musical adaptation, a cartoon series, and a long-gestating sequel were also produced as a result. Give it a chance, you’ll love it!

Revealing Jenna Ortega’s Mysterious Collaboration

The Warners Bros has officially confirmed that Beetlejuice 2 is being worked on and production will be underway in London. It’s finally happening. According to Screen Rant, the announcement was done during a panel discussion for Warner Bros.’ CinemaCon 2023.

Before the announcement was done, claims that suggested Jenna Ortega was being considered for the sequel were already spreading across social media. The claims of the actress being part of the film began early April as the actress has previously collaborated with film director, Tim Burton on Netflix’s popular Addams Family spinoff series Wednesday and many anticipate the official confirmation that the rising star will be part of this master piece.

Ortega has well established herself as an actress who effortlessly excels in weird, gothic horror parts. Everyone loved her when she played the ‘ lead part in “Wednesday.” It is unknown at this moment as to the details of the production, if Warner Bros and Ortega are negotiating a contract regarding the sequel or if any additional original actors are being considered to make a comeback, I would really love to see Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Keaton as Beetlejuice return for the sequel working together with Jenna Ortega.

So what role would fit Jenna? According to Deadline, Ortega will play Lydia Deetz’ daughter in “Beetlejuice 2“. I must say, that role would be perfect. “Beetlejuice 2” appears to be a project that Ortega would like working on and she even stated in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter on how she loves working with Tim Burton.

In reality, Jenna Ortega’s fans, I included, will be thrilled when she is officially announced as the new cast role of the sequel. Ortega has repeatedly demonstrated her amazing skills in acting and I absolutely cannot wait to see what this budding star has in store for the entertainment industry.
