Former Bulls Hoopers Went To Watch Wembanyama Play For Metropolitans 92

We can’t wait any longer, that’s for sure, the 2023 NBA draft should get here as soon as possible.

June 22, 2023, is less than a few weeks away but it looks like a decade to come and we can all agree that the 2023 NBA draft class is filled with some of the most talented players.

One of them stands out from the rest and it’s none other than Victor Wembanyama.

Victor Wembanyama is a French professional basketball player who currently plays for Metropolitans 92 of the LNB Pro A in France.

The 19-year-old teenage sensation is projected to be the first overall pick in the June 22 NBA draft and fans and pundits can’t wait long enough to see where he lands.

It’s no doubt the team that lands him will be getting a generational talent as the hype around the French prodigy has been compared to that LeBron James got back in 2003 and if you were there, the Kid from Akron needs no introduction.

With such talent that makes his buzz and hype draw comparisons to LeBron James’, it is no doubt that fans are eager to see him play.

After the San Antonio Spurs won the chance to pick first overall in the upcoming draft, it’s a no-brainer that they will be going for Wembanyama and then we can get a chance to see him play in the silver and black jerseys.

With us waiting, Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose seem to have run out of patience waiting for Wembanyama to get to the NBA.

The former Chicago Bulls players hopped on a jet to go watch Wembanyama play in France.

In a Twitter post by Wembanyama’s team Boulogne-Levallois Metropolitans 92, a collage of Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Drew Gooden is seen captioned,” A quality trio” in French.

The picture was taken during the duel between Metropolitans 92 and Asvel in which the latter is Wembanyama’s former team.

The game ended 75-69 with the Metropolitans winning the first game of the playoffs semifinal.

This was a good show as Wembanyama finished the game with 19 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists to help his team topple his former team.

Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah were left stunned by the 7’4” giant who has been captivating everyone around and they couldn’t wait any longer till he got to the NBA.

We can guarantee that Derrick Rose would have wished the New York Knicks had the chance to pick Wembanyama so that they could get a chance to play together.

The two seem to have a lot in common as Derrick Rose was the number one pick in the 2008 NBA draft where the Bulls picked him and now Victor is projected to be first just shows how their careers are so much identical.

Every fan would love the idea of seeing these three going at each other in the NBA and we are going to have to wait to see how it fairs on.

For now, let us enjoy watching the kid play because his potential is truly evident. He is for sure a generational talent.
