Boasting impressive features, Victor will surely be a force to reckon with once he gets to the NBA. His outrageous plays as a member of the Metropolitans 92 of the LNB Pro A have enabled the team to stay in the second position in the league.

Standing at 7’4” with a wingspan of 8’ is more alien than he is human. He stands out thanks to his exceptional talent and special playing style.
Despite his height, he has excellent ball-handling skills and a quick first step that allow him to outrun the defence and make his shot. He has a smooth and easy three-point shooting stroke.

The Ringer dubbed Wembanyama a Gen-Z Kareem Abdul-Jabbar or Ralph Sampson and more comparisons have not stopped coming his way. One NBA general manager speaking to Andscape predicted Wembanyama to be just like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

He is quoted saying, “Victor is a physical specimen that you rarely see, like Lew Alcindor(Kareem Abdul) or Ralph Sampson. Length, size, and skills are unmatched. His work ethic will determine what level he becomes. But he has it all.”

So much expectation for the French phenom to get such compliments and be compared to Kevin Durant, Giannis and now Kareem Abdul, the list keeps getting bigger.

Only time will tell if the young lad will be able to live up to the hype and on June 22, 2023, during the draft, he will get to find out where he will be winning his rings to match Kareem’s six rings.
