As we enter springtime, food and drink events are springing up across Prague as early as this Saturday, March 16.
The Asia Food Fest will take place on Saturday, March 16 at Smíchovská náplavka. This festival will parade Asian flavors spanning Japanese, Indonesian, Indian, and Thai cuisines. Admission is free and it starts at 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The Festival of Delicious Tastes is set for Sunday 17th March at the New Town Hall. This festival will offer global tastes covering traditional and foreign delicacies. Admission is free and it starts at 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Mămăm Bistro will host the Sandwich Rodeo kitchen event on March 18. The festival is organized by the bistro’s Meggie and Nugy featuring Asian-American flavors.
Sample Vermouth Cocktails By Experts
For the lovers of vermouth wine, Back Doors bar has organized an evening of guest bartending on Tuesday, March 19. The event will be held in their Smíchov location.
Rudolf Forman and Tomáš Křemenák from the Brno Bar will be the guest bartenders. They have curated special cocktails using Sedmero Czech vermouth alongside acclaimed winemaker Jan Stávek for their guests.
One Stop for Czech Gastronomy and Lectures
The Makro Czech Gastro Fest comes for its second year on Friday, April 12 and 13 at the O₂ universe. According to the event organizers, it will be a meeting point for Czech gastronomy in one place. Restaurant owners, chefs, and suppliers will be present. Also, food professional associations and institutions will be represented.
Visitors will be treated to food workshops, signature drinks, and cuisines by renowned professionals. The event opens at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 pm with tickets available online.
Holesovice Market to Host Several Food Events
Prague Beer Fest will hold its sixth edition on 12 and 13 of April at the Holesovice Market. Over 50 breweries will take part including foreign brewers. There will be workshops, lectures, and tasting sessions, and a delicious selection of street food. The event opens at noon and closes at midnight with tickets available online.
Still in the Holesovice Market, the Pastrami pop-up vol. II will take place on Thursday 25 April. Attendees will be treated to various meat slices including local juicy tastes and New York specialties.
On May 16, Holešovice Market will host Vyshyvanka Day to celebrate Ukrainian folklore and food.
Vegan Food Event Underway
On May 1, Veggie Náplavka treats vegans to one of Central Europe’s largest vegan food events. With a vision to promote an ethical and healthy world, this open-air vegan event presents new plant-based food innovations to visitors.
Toast to Beer, Wine, and Cocktails
Lovers of gin can make plans for the 8th edition of Ginfest set for May 4 in Žluté lázně. The event will run from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. Visitors will be treated to different styles of gins.
The Pink May festival will happen on May 18. More than 30 Czech wineries will be present. Rosé and claret wines will be available for visitors. Cocktails, Czech gastronomy, and jazz will be part of the fun.
Beer & Burger Festival will take place on May 19 at Karlín Square. Visitors will enjoy bottomless beer and burgers in an ambiance of live music.
