The second season of the true-crime documentary “The Jinx” is back

“The Jinx”, one of the most compelling true-crime documentaries that captured the audience’s attention nearly a decade ago is back for its second season. The show premiered on HBO and Max on 21st April 2024 with new episodes being released every week on Sunday. In 2015, award-winning filmmaker Andrew Jarecki produced The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst, a docuseries that told the story of the real estate heir and his role in the disappearance of his wife Kathie McCormack Durst and the murder of his best friend Susan Berman in 2000. The series became a true crime holy grail as it started as an investigative piece by a journalist and ended with an accidental confession from the suspect of a homicide case who had been able to evade the justice system for three decades.

The first season ended with Robert Durst’s shocking admission “Killed them all, of course”. The second season will feature what happened after he muttered the words that led to his arrest hours after the season finale was aired.  

The team behind the original series did not stop after getting a confession from Robert Durst and went on to sit at his trial and unearth new information as the case unfolded. The second season which is a six-part series will pick up from where the first one ended and focuses on the court proceedings and investigations done by the police on the infamous murdered Robert Durst.
