How young is too young to get married? If you ask me I have no regrets not getting married at the age of 19, yes that is how old Millie Bobby Brown is as she shares the news of her engagement to Jake Bongiovi who is just 20 years old. Even if I wanted to get married at 18, my strict mother would not let me. Nonetheless, young love is genuine, and Brown and Bongiovi seem to have discovered it, I must agree, is rather endearing.

The announcement follows Millie’s post that recently said to her lover Jake Bongiovi, “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all.” From the instagram post of the Stranger Things actress, one could see her finger which adorned the engagement ring. Brown finished her post with a white love heart emoji. Singer Pixie Lott was among the stars commenting on Brown’s post, writing: “Omg!!!! Congratulations you two so happy for you ……”

There love story goes way back when they were ‘friends.’ “We were friends for a bit, and then…what can I say?” Brown recalled when she revealed to Wired last year that she had met Bongiovi on Instagram before they started dating. Brown shared a snapshot of Bongiovi on Instagram in June 2021 to introduce him to her followers and afterwards, the couple declared their relationship. In a subsequent Instagram post from January, Brown referred to Bongiovi as her “partner for life” and shared a number of images of the pair.

Although the circumstances of their meeting is not clear all we can do is presume. It is a fact that both of them have an A-list of celebrities as friends, Millie is a Stanger things star and Jake is the son of renowned Rocker Jon Bon Jovi, I believe their story, they met through mutual friends. I still can’t believe she started stranger things as a baby and she’ll finish it as an engaged lady, I am literally screaming.

In my opinion, Bongiovi’s friendship with Brown’s friends is largely evident from the photo shared on social media of him hanging out with Millie’s Stranger Things co-star Noah Schnapp. I don’t know about you but I’m getting the high school sweetheart story from these two. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against people who get married right after dating in high school, I have friends who ended up marrying their high school sweetheart.

Millie is an internationally renowned actress and she has been on the public eye for a while. The actress has been dating actor Jake Bongiovi for roughly 2.5 years. As they dated the two have been seen in public more than once and have attended more than one red carpet even. Some of the events they have ttended together include, at the fourth season of Stranger Things’ premiere last year, the couple was photographed together, on March 13, 2022, in London, England, Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown attend the EE British Academy Film Awards 2022 at the Royal Albert Hall, At the Bafta Film Awards in London in March 2022, the couple was spotted together, On October 27, 2022 in New York City, Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown attend the “Enola Holmes 2” global premiere at The Paris Theater just to mention a few.

In addition, Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown attend the international premiere of Netflix’s “Enola” in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, where the couple posed for pictures with storm troopers the previous year. They have definitely active in the public eye and they don’t seem to shy away from their intimate relationship. They have been at it for more than 2 years and some seem to be supportive and that they are definitely ready for it.

For everyone saying she’s too young, just because she’s engaged, it doesn’t mean they’ll marry soon!  Sometimes engaged people wait years before they marry. Hence the comments are just too harsh but I understand the concerns marriage is definitely not a child’s play.
