Tourists Advised Caution Amid Political Unrest

A leaked audio that was made public by former government official Peter Magyar revealed suspected corruption at the highest echelons of Hungarian politics, sparking the most recent controversy, as stated by Euro News.

According to Aljazeera,   he earlier on Tuesday, 26th March 2024, posted a recording of a January 2023 conversation with his ex-wife on his Facebook page. In that conversation, she described an attempt by Antal Rogan’s aides, Orban’s cabinet chief, to tamper with the prosecution files in a corruption case involving Pal Volner, the state secretary of the former justice ministry.

Thousands of infuriated residents protested in the streets of Budapest after the video revealed attempts to rig court processes against high-ranking officials, including the Justice Minister at the time.
