Axel Tuanzebe set to Part ways with Manchester United 

The academy product made 37 appearances for the senior team, however, the club decided against renewing Tuanzebe’s contract due to a spate of injuries and the presence of better center-backs at Carrington.

During the 2018–19 season, the 25-year-old had a standout loan with Aston Villa in the Championship. However, he was never able to use the same form at his original club. In 2022, there was another loan period; this time, Napoli in Italy. He only made one appearance, a 10-minute cameo in their 1-0 victory over Sampdoria, and he seemed out of place in Serie A. The fact that he could only play four times for Stoke City in the Championship made this season the worst of his career.

Under Ten Hag, Tuanzebe has not appeared for Manchester United.
At the beginning of the season, Erik ten Hag did not have him in his plans because the former Ajax manager brought Lisandro Martinez from his old team and permitted Tuanzebe to leave on another loan. It has been concluded that a permanent breakup is the wisest course of action.
