The Champs-Élysées are open to pedestrians one Sunday per month, usually the first. As a reminder, Paris City Hall hopes that “Paris Respire” will reduce fine particle emissions. Since October 2018, the car-free perimeter has been expanded to include Paris’s first, second, third, and fourth arrondissements, allowing pedestrians to fully enjoy the city center.
Since July 2017, the anti-pollution plan has gained traction, resulting in traffic restrictions for older cars and trucks.
