Lisbon Airport has now joined the FlixBus domestic and international network, connecting to Porto, Faro and Madrid-Barajas airports. Visitors can now take the bus to any of the three airports, making travel a lot easier and seamless in that regard. The connection to Madrid-Bajaras international airport is a plus, expanding the reach.

This also means that it is now possible to take the FlixBus from the city of Porto, the Algarve region of Beira interior region directly to Lisbon Airport. This is according to a statement from the bus network company. This development aims to reduce the use of private cars to the airport.

The first bus lines to and from Lisbon Airport have begun operating. As stated by Pablo Pastega, general director of Flixbus for Portugal and Spain, ‘the new lines are the result of  the company’s strategy to strengthen direct connections to national airports, and facilitate connecting trips for everyone travelling by air.’ He also stated that  good shared mobility solutions will enable people using airports to leave their car at home and opt for public transport.

Travelers from Badajoz, Mérida and Cáceres will also benefit from the new connections to Lisbon airport. Available routes include;

Lisbon Airport ⇆ Porto Airport

 Lisbon Airport ⇆ Faro Airport

Lisbon Airport ⇆ Madrid-Barajas International Airport

Lisbon Airport ⇆ Albufeira

Lisbon Airport ⇆ Faro

 Lisbon Airport ⇆ Castelo Branco

Lisbon Airport ⇆ Covilhã

 Lisbon Airport ⇆ Fundão
