Navigating a custody battle: Halsey Fights for Her Child’s custody

It’s never simple when two people decide to part ways, but when a child is involved let’s just say things may become considerably more difficult. Talented musician Halsey whose true name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane is experiencing the said situation following the recent announcement of her breakup from her longtime partner and the child’s father, Alev Aydin.

Yes, Halsey and Alev Aydin are no longer together after dating for more than 3 years. You may recall that she revealed in January 2021 that she and the other man were expecting a child, posting a gorgeous photo on instagram with a baby bump.  I literally cried! I bet she called Taylor Swift seconds after the break up, they are in their singe girl era. You would expect Halsey to just cry it out or try and get over her ex, you know, start the healing process, instead, the singer didn’t waste a second and immediately filled documents for primary custody to their one year old son, Ender Ridley Aydin.

I am wondering what went wrong this time, the two had something good going on and on top of that, they had a son together, although this wouldn’t be the first time people are breaking off whilst having children together. The singer has had a number of high profile partners such as rapper G-Eazy, actor Evan Peters and British rocker Yungblud. Alev Aydin is no exception, he is a talented screenwriter and film producer with great skills.

Halsey is equally an extremely talented American singer, songwriter, and actor. When Halsey first started her career, she used social media to share music, which helped her build a fan base and eventually land a record deal.

Her smash hit song “Without Me” reached the top of the charts in several different places and garnered her countless nominations, awards and interviews. Halsey has dabbled in acting in addition to her music career, making appearances in both TV shows and movies.

The “Without Me” singer, as sated earlier, according to TMZ, is reportedly asking for the primary physical custody of their son Ender but she has no intention of excluding the father. Halsey writes in the document that she wants to share legal custody with Alev and is absolutely okay with him seeing Ender on occasion; she has no intention to deny him visitation privileges.

Although the reason for the breakup may not be known, there are claims that it was an amicable split. Halsey and Alev’s split truly came as a shock and I can imagine what they are going through especially with the added challenges of a child and a custody dispute. What is evident, though, is that the wellbeing and happiness of their child come first for the parents. We can only hope that they are able to reach a decision that is in their child’s best interests while the legal proceedings unfold.

It serves as a reminder that, even in the face of grief and strife, our love for our children may serve as a motivating factor, guiding us to find common ground and advance in a constructive manner. As they purpose to settle the split amicably and cross this difficult chapter in their lives, we wish them nothing but the best.
