Excitement is building in the historic city of Istanbul as it prepares to host the 2024 WAKO Kickboxing World Cup. From May 15th to 19th, the Tuyap Fair and Congress Center will transform into a kickboxing battlefield. The best fighters from every corner of the globe are descending on Turkey’s iconic capital. The World Cup coincides with Turkey’s Commemoration of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Holiday. Mustafa Kemal Ataturk’s vision championed athletics as a means of progress and global recognition for Turkey.
WAKO President Extends Personal Welcome
Roy Baker, President of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO), expressed his enthusiasm. “I am thrilled to welcome everyone to the 2024 World Cup in beautiful Istanbul. This connects Asia with the worldwide kickboxing community, providing a global stage for athletes.” He praised the Turkish Kickboxing Federation for their “experienced leadership in ensuring an exceptional event.”
