Ordinarily, most airports are busy, crowded, noisy and it is often hectic when you’re trying to make your flight on time. However, that does not always have to be the case. A recent report by Online Marketing Surgery and El Bella Villa has identified the UK’s quietest airports.

Humberside Airport takes the top spot as the quietest airport in the UK, according to passenger data from the UK Civil Aviation Authority. Just about 136, 976 passengers passed through it last year. Compared to some of the busiest hubs like Heathrow (with over 70 million passengers every year), Humberside’s traffic is barely a fraction.

Southend, Teesside, Norwich, and Newquay airports complete the top five quietest airports in the UK. These smaller airports offer a more relaxed atmosphere and often shorter queues, making them attractive options for travelers seeking a peaceful departure. While these airports may have fewer flights and destinations compared to larger hubs, they provide a viable alternative for those prioritizing a quieter travel experience.

Here are the top 10 quietest UK airports and the number of passengers that travelled through them last year.

  1. Humberside – 136,976
  2. Southend – 146,072
  3. Teesside International Airport – 226,557
  4. Norwich – 357,852
  5. Newquay – 408,870
  6. Exeter – 433,067

  8. Isle Of Man – 638,619
  9. Guernsey – 694,958
  10. Southampton – 754,931
