The Bakerloo Line on the London Underground will undergo a planned closure for essential track and infrastructure improvements. Mark your calendars – the closure will take place for six days, from Saturday, August 3rd to Thursday, August 8th, 2024.
This temporary disruption will impact the northern section of the Bakerloo Line, affecting trips between Queen’s Park Station and Harrow & Wealdstone Station. Passengers who rely on this stretch of the line for their daily commute or upcoming travels should plan accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.
Luckily, there are alternative travel options available during the closure. For those with flexible schedules, consider exploring alternative Underground lines that might connect you to your destination. Checking the Transport for London (TfL) website for updates on rerouting of specific bus routes and timetables is highly recommended.
Notably, the London Overground between Euston and Watford Junction will be closed around the same time too. This is because it shares railway tracks with Bakerloo. The improvements are aimed at improving customer service by enhancing the reliability of transport systems.
Alex Williams, Chief Customer and Strategy Officer at TfL, said: ‘We’re sorry for the disruption that Network Rail’s essential infrastructure upgrade work will cause to our customers’ journeys and are working closely with them to minimize the impact.
