Get Ready for a Walk: The Eternal City Gears up for another Ecological Sunday

As the vibrant city of Rome gears up for another Ecological Sunday on March 24th, visitors and locals alike are in for an exciting environmentally conscious experience. The Ecological Sundays, are the designated days put in place to reduce air pollution and promote sustainable practices.

This Sunday will offer both the locals and visitors a refreshing perspective on exploring the city center while prioritizing cleaner air and eco-friendly means of transport. Private traffic will be restricted in the “Green Belt” area, which encompasses the historic city center, the region within the railway ring, and select areas within the Grande Raccordo Anulare.

From morning hours, 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and later from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., vehicles with internal combustion engines will be banned from moving around the restricted area with some exemptions being made to some vehicles.
