Once pictures of the Ariana Grande attending Jeff Goldblum’s concert in London last week surfaced, fans all over started to discuss her appearance in a ‘not so friendly way.’ The events followed when pictures of Ariana and her costar Cynthia Erivo attending their co-stars performance at Ronnie Scott’s jazz club on Friday night,april 7^th. Cynthia Erivo plays the role of Elphaba in the adaptation of the Broadway show, Wicked.

In support of her friend, Grande walked out dressed stylishly in white boots wrapping herself in an oversized pink coat. The American singer, songwriter, and actress looked happy and excited to be there showing love to her friend and colleague. He performed songs together with the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. The stars have been consistently working on their project, an adaptation of Wicked. A couple of days ago Ariana confirmed that the filing process is halfway done, seems like everything is going as planned.

Here comes the drama, after the photos of the Wicked star were shared several users said on Twitter that Ariana Grande “looks worryingly thin,” while others added, “Very controversial view but she’s honestly too thin”, “She looks like she’s aged about 10 years”,  “She does look tinnier” “I guess marriage is not her thing” These comments got on my nerves honestly, she just dyed her hair and eyebrows blond for her role as Glinda in the musical, and she didn’t wear that much makeup in the photos and videos. On top of that she seems to have stopped tanning so that’s make a difference.

Seeing the pictures, her loyal fans made supportive comments like, “y’all don’t forget that she had some eating problems…I love her deeply and I really hope she is doing well”, “she stopped getting lip fillers, tans, she doesn’t do dramatic makeup anymore it’s not that she looks different she’s just loving herself “, “It’s because the lighter hair makes her look sick that’s all,” others added. Even amidst the hate at least there are people who are able to come out and defend the Victorious star.

I will admit that I am used to Grande the soulful pop and R&B artist with strong vocals, and distinctive high ponytail hairstyle and on seeing the photo I was bit puzzled but my first thought was she has changed a bit or maybe hear me out…shes getting older and aging, which absolutely normal. So were not allowed to change out hair color now without speculation?

The Thank U, Next singer known for her activism and philanthropy, particularly in support of LGBTQ+ rights and raising awareness of mental health issue and body positivity, it surprises me that she is the one getting all this hate for how she looks. You can’t be a fan if you can’t love her for who she is. At the end of the day, people change whether they are famous or not. The bottom line is, if you don’t like how she looks then just keep it to yourself.
