New research from award-winning travel company Travelbag has revealed Dublin to be the sixth prettiest city in Europe, with popular locations such as the Vico Baths, Herbert Park, and Howth Harbour documented on social media. The study analyzed Instagram hashtag data and Google search trends, showing that Dublin garnered over 23,000 Instagram posts with the hashtag #SummerinDublin and over 1,300 monthly searches.
London reigns as the best spot for an Insta-worthy experience this summer, with over 175,000 posts under the hashtag #SummerinLondon and a monthly average of 4,400 global searches for ‘summer in London.’ Paris follows closely behind as the second prettiest city in Europe, with over 161,000 Instagram posts and the highest global search volume, averaging 5,400 searches a month for ‘summer in Paris.’ Berlin, Athens, Vienna, Rome, Amsterdam, Munich, and Copenhagen also made the list of picturesque summer destinations.
In addition to Dublin‘s recognition, Bray, a charming seaside town in County Wicklow, was once again in the spotlight after being named one of the world’s most underrated travel destinations by Time Out. The town secured the 24th spot among 24 other global destinations, highlighting its stand-out appeal and diverse range of activities and dining options. Eugene Finnegan from Bray Tourism emphasized the significance of this recognition, stating that the support from the Bray Municipal District and Wicklow County Council has been instrumental in maintaining and enhancing the town’s amenities and public realm.
