Reports by aviation consultancy WingX, has revealed that the games have led to a record number of business jet arrivals in France. This unprecedented events have to the recovery of the private travel market after a relatively weak first half of the year as reported by The National.

During the 2024 Olympics, private jet travel, which had been relatively quiet in the first half of the year, suddenly boomed. France, as the host country, saw an unprecedented increase in private jet flights, with Paris becoming the hub of this surge as reported by Sentinel Aviation.

During the week of July 22 to July 28, there was a 17% rise in business jet activity in France compared to the corresponding period in the previous year. Paris Le Bourget airport, a major private jet hub, experienced an impressive 58% increase in arrivals year-on-year, with a total of 713 business jets landing in the seven days leading up to July 28.

The increase in private jet activity is linked to the presence of elite athletes, government officials, corporate executives, and celebrities arriving in Paris for the Olympics. This influx of high-profile individuals has led to significant demand for private jet travel, especially in Europe.
