The Algarve region in Portugal is set to host the highly anticipated Algarve 7s sports festival from June 7th to 10th, 2024. This event, now regarded as one of Europe’s premier sports festivals, promises an exciting blend of athletic competition, cultural immersion, and pure summer fun.

This year’s edition boasts an impressive lineup, featuring over 70 international sports teams and more than 2,000 athletes. Spectators can expect a thrilling display of athletic prowess across various sports disciplines, including rugby (the core focus), netball, field hockey, and even golf.

 The event takes place at the renowned Stadium and High Performance Center in Vila Real de Santo António, a beautiful location with easy access to stunning beaches and charming towns. This provides attendees with a chance to explore the region’s rich history and soak up the warm Algarve sunshine.

Highlights

Starting off at a high note, a grand welcome party will be held on June 7th at the Dunamar Hotel. Group stage matches will then run throughout 8th, from 9.30 am to 6.00 pm. After quite a competitive day, the Algarve 7s Fest will be held in the evening at the sports center. Attendees will unwind over tasty food, drinks, live music and festivities. Playoffs and finals will take place on the 9th, ending in an exciting award ceremony and an evening of entertainment.
