He is truly a rugby superstar. His entrance to the world of rugby was not an afterthought as it was influenced by his roots from a rugby-loving family in the small town of Southbridge, the South Island of New Zealand. His talent was quickly recognized from a very early age, and he went on to become one of the most successful rugby players in New Zealand’s history being in the same league with the greatest of them all, Richie McCaw . Carter was the most complete and important fly-half for New Zealand, possessing an unmatched skill set. Carter holds the All Blacks’ scoring record with 1598 points in 112 appearances. This was aided by his ability to make excellent decisions and appearing to have more time on the ball than anyone else.
