Where are the safest places to stay in Munich?

Munich is probably most well known around the world as being the headquarters of the amazing festival, Oktoberfest! This is the real deal folks, not those imitation Oktoberfest’s you can find around the world (although those sound really fun too!).

However, there isn’t just beer to be drank in Munich! There is also beautiful architecture, museums and monuments to be seen! Streets to wander, photos to take… I think you get the idea.

Things to do in Munich is another topic for another day, as today I’ll be sharing the safest places to stay in the city. Munich is generally a very safe place, although like any major European city, there is always the risk of pickpockets. I’ve never had any problems in Munich whatsoever, but I do try to stay very aware of my belongings. That means I never wear a backpack, I always keep one hand on my purse and I don’t keep anything in my pockets besides the stray tissue.

But, I can understand concerns that folks may have if they’ve never been to Munich before: a new city can be intimidating! That’s why I’m here to help! Keep reading for my best options of safe places to stay in Munich.

Plus, the area is very safe, the staff is friendly, and there is even a spa inside! There is also the option to book a room with a private balcony. If you want to treat yourself in Munich, you’ve officially found your hotel.
