He rose to prominence on a global scale in 2003 after winning the People’s Choice Award and maintaining the top spot in the “Voice Asia” online poll for three days. He was also the first Filipino man to compete in the tournament in question, and he took home the Silver Trophy in the championship round.

Before coming out as transgender in 2013, Zyrus went by the name “Charice,” having been born Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco in Laguna in 1992. Since then, he goes by the name Jake Zyrus.

Pineda was called by the American rock band Journey and requested to audition after being in a number of various bands and famous incarnations. Since Steve Perry quit the band in 2007, Pineda has taken over as the main singer for Journey.

He went under the name “Aiza” when he was a young singer and actor. But he has since gone by the stage name “Ice” after coming out as a lesbian in 2007 and a transgender guy in 2014.
