1. His name was taken from a DaVinci artwork

Little Leo kicked for the first time while his expectant mother was looking at a DaVinci artwork while Leo’s parents were on their honeymoon in Florence and visiting the Uffizi Gallery. This was interpreted by his father as a message to name him Leonardo.
2. He struggled to get a job due to his name
Finding an agency was challenging for DiCaprio early in his career. When he finally did, he advised DiCaprio to adopt the name Lenny Williams in order to appeal to American audiences, but the actor rejected the suggestion. Even after 100 auditions, DiCaprio remained jobless for a year and a half. He decided to give up acting as a result of this lack of success, but his father convinced him to keep going.
