The O2 Arena is commonly known as the O2 which is a multi-purpose indoor arena in the center of the O2 entertainment complex on the Greenwich Peninsula in southeast London.

The arena opened in its present form in the year 2007 and it has the second highest seating capacity of any indoor venue in the United Kingdom.

The year 2008 the arena was the world’s busiest music arena. The O2 arena includes an indoor arena, a music club, a Cineworld cinema, an exhibition space, piazzas, bars, and restaurants.

1. How to get to The O2 Arena

By car, the venue is conveniently signposted from the M25, the A2, the A20, and the M11. Turn off at Millennium way or Edmund Halley way. However, there is also a reversed area in car park 3 for Uber and private car hire.

By tube, the closest underground station is North Greenwich on the Jubilee line which is just a couple of minutes’ walk from The O2.

By river, the Thames Clipper boat can take you to The O2 from central London. And by Cable car, the Emirates Air line takes between five and ten minutes to cross the river depending on how busy it is however it leaves from the Royal Docks.

2. You can Climb up the Roof of The O2 Arena

You can take an exhilarating outdoor climb over the world-famous roof of the O2 Arena and enjoy incredible views of London.

The 90 min climb takes you to the very top of the tented dome and then down the other side.

However, you can choose to climb the roof during daytime, sunset, and twilight.

Once you are up there you will get a 360-degree view of historic Greenwich, the Olympic Park, and Canary Wharf, and the celebration climb includes a glass of champagne when you reach the top.
