1. Jamie Oliver

With his television programs Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution (2010) and The Naked Chef (1999), the British chef gained international notoriety. In addition, he has written a number of cookbooks with a wide range of culinary subjects.

Jamie Oliver is known for his Italian and American-inspired recipes in addition to removing turkey Twizzlers from school lunches, but it’s his traditional, straightforward, and rustic steak sarnie. Hence made him known from his meals in 30 minutes to book.

2. Gordon Ramsay

British chef, restaurateur, writer, and television personality Gordon Ramsay. In 1997, he established the Gordon Ramsay Restaurants chain of restaurants. and has received 17 Michelin stars, with a total of seven at this time.

Ramsay received an OBE from Queen Elizabeth II in the New Year’s Honours list of 2006 for his contributions to the hospitality sector. At the 2000 Catey Awards, he was awarded the best chef in the UK. In July 2006, he received the Catey for Independent Restaurateur of the Year, becoming just the third person to do so. He was placed No. 19 on Forbes’ list of the highest-earning celebrities in 2020 and had earnings of US $70 million over the preceding 12 months.

3. Heston Blumenthal

Heston Blumenthal is a British self-taught chef, who has been cooking professionally since he was 18 years old. Cooking publications by him include The Fat Duck Cookbook, Family Food: A New Approach to Cooking, and many others. His main area of interest is British food. Seven distinct episodes of the Kitchen Chemistry with Heston Blumenthal television show, which was presented on Discovery Science, covered the preparation of numerous popular dishes. More than 6,000 schools in the UK and Ireland received a book that was part of the program. Additionally, Blumenthal is the proprietor of the one-star Hind’s Head pub in Bray and the two-star Dinner restaurant in London.

4. Angela Hartnett

Angela is an English Michelin-starred chef. She is a protegee of Gordon Ramsay who became well known for her appearances on British television.  Hartnett was the chef patron at Angela Hartnett at the Connaught in London.

 She is currently the chef patron for Murano in Mayfair. Cafe Murano in St James’s and Covent Garden. For the two restaurants at The Connaught, Hartnett earned the “Best Newcomer Award” and the SquareMeal Guides’ BMW Best New Restaurant award in 2003. 

She received her first Michelin star in 2004.  In Boca Raton, she launched Cielo, a Ramsay Group eatery, in 2007. In the inaugural season of ITV1’s Hell’s Kitchen, she made her debut on television. Angela participated in the final episode of MasterChef UK in 2015 and oversaw the competition’s last task.

As a result of his contributions to the hospitality sector, Hartnett was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2007 New Year’s Honours and an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2022 New Year’s Honours for his contributions to the sector as well as to the National Health Service during the Covid-19 response. She has served as a judge for the BBC Food and Farming Awards for a number of years.

In 2022, journalist Sheila Dillon, one of her fellow judges, profiled her for “A Life Through Food” on The Food Programme.  And also She was featured in the 2018 documentary The Heat: A Kitchen (R)evolution by Maya Gallus.

5. Atul Kochar

Indian-born chef and television personality Atul was raised in Britain. At Tamarind, he was one of the first two Indian chefs to be granted a Michelin star in London in 2001.

In 2007, he created his own eatery, Benares, for which he was awarded a second Michelin star. Since then, he has opened numerous additional eateries, including Sindhu, Hawkyns, and Indian Essence in Buckinghamshire and Petts Wood, Kent, respectively.

In addition to making frequent television appearances, Kochhar is the author of several cookbooks, including Simple Indian, Fish, Indian Style, Curries of the World, and 30 Minute Curries.

6. Marcus Wareing 

Marcus Wareing is a renowned cookbook author, TV personality, and restauranteur with a Michelin star. Wareing has been one of the most renowned and recognized chefs and restaurateurs in Britain thanks to his contributions to British cuisine and the next generation of culinary talent. His accolades in the hotel sector span nearly 35 years and include a Michelin star, GQ Chef of the Year, the Cateys Chef Award, and an Acorn Award.

7. Delia Smith

Delia is an English chef and television host who is renowned for imparting fundamental cooking techniques in a straightforward manner. As a well-known celebrity chef in British popular culture, she ranks among the best. Delia Smith has encouraged viewers to try new foods in the kitchen. She is also well-known for her position as one of the two primary shareholders of Norwich City FC.

8. Jason Atherton

Jason is a restaurant and chef from England. In 2011, the first year after it opened, his signature eatery Pollen Street Social was awarded a Michelin star. Until April 30, 2010, he served as the executive chef at Gordon Ramsay’s Maze in London, which has a Michelin star. He co-hosted the Sky Living television program My Kitchen Rules in 2014. 

Along with host James Martin, Atherton has established himself as a regular guest on BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen. Atherton won the competition. In the end, he was the winner of the appetizer and main course categories in a meal prepared at The Gherkin and hosted by Heston Blumenthal.

9. Marco Pierre White

Pierre White  is a British chef, restaurant owner, and TV personality. He has earned the moniker “the first celebrity chef” and has been labeled the enfant terrible of the UK restaurant scene.  The first British chef to receive three Michelin stars was White, who did so in January 1995 at the age of 33. Gordon Ramsay, Curtis Stone, Shannon Bennett, Mario Batali, and Heston Blumenthal are just a few of the well-known chefs he has trained. 

10. Rick Stein 

Rick Stein, an English celebrity chef, restaurateur, author, and television host, was born in 1947. Together with his business partner Jill Stein, he owns and operates the Stein hotel and restaurant in the United Kingdom ( first wife). Along with his second wife, Rick serves as the executive chef and co-owner of Rick Stein at Bannisters in Austria’s Mollymook and Port Stephens. He has authored cookbooks and hosted television shows.
