So you’re looking to study in the Portuguese capital?
Lisbon happens to be one of the most student friendly cities in Europe, not only because of its accessibility and sheer enjoyment, but also financially. Who wouldn’t want to study in the heart of the party capital, with gorgeous beaches a mere train ride away and a constant influx of people from all over the world.
Here are the schools you should know more about:
Lisbon University in Lisbon
The University of Lisbon, and Lisbon Tech University, have merged to form what is now known as just ‘Lisbon University’. It’s widely considered to be most prestigious educational institution in Portugal, and holds significant international rankings.
Here you can study anywhere from bachelor through to post-doctoral degrees. The humanities department at Lisbon University is particularly renowned due to the very high employment rate of graduates as the filer out of the school.
Linguistics, language and literature seem to be their most popular courses, with computer science and engineering following close behind.
This is an extremely diverse and integrated school, that much is for sure. Like all old institutions in Europe, there are remnants of Catholic influence to some degree, but never anything provocative or controversial.
