Hande Ercel was born on November 24, 1993 in Bandirma. She is a daughter to Aylin Ercel and Kaya Ercel and sister to Gamze Ercel. During her childhood, she was sometimes raised by her grandparent.

Hande’s father always wanted her to pursue medicine, but her acting talent was evident from her young age.

Hande attended the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, where she entered the department of Traditional Turkish arts and later abandoned her studies to focus on her professional projects of acting and modeling.

She became a famous Turkish actress and model popularly known for her roles in Sen Cal Kapimi. Ask Laftan Anlamaz and Gunesis KIzlari.

Hande has managed to be the youngest Turkish artist with the highest number of awards in the Turkish industry.

1. Hande Ercel abandoned school to focus on her modeling and acting career

Hande Ercel left home to live in Istanbul to begin her studies at the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. She was at the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts.

Hande jungled studies as a model, television presenter and slightly started acting. When her career began picking up, she abandoned her studies due to insufficient time to study and engage in professional projects.

2. Hande Ercel in the spotlight began with modeling

She began her modeling career in 2012. She has crowned Miss Turkey and came second in the Miss Civilization of the world Beauty.

In 2020 she began her association as a model with the brand Nocturne conducting several campaigns. The brand achieved greater international recognition by opening branches in the Us, London and France.

She was also advertising and doing campaigns with brands such as Signal and began her association with the brand Atasay jewelry, as the brand’s image.

Hande got a role for chapter three in the Tatar Ramazan series in 2003.  Where made her first appearance as an actress.

In 2004 she made her debut as a supporting actress in an episode of the series Calikusu. In Calikusu, she played Zahide, a young girl who became bedridden due to a severe illness.

The same year she acted in other series such as Cilgin Dersane Universitede, where she played Meryem and in the series Hayut Agaci where she played Solen Karahanli.

Ercel got her first leading role in the series Gunesis Kilzlari in 2015. She played Selin Yilmaz, for which she won three awards, including Golden Butterfly Awards.

She got her second leading role during 2016-2017 in the series Ask Laftan Anlamaz. Hande played Hayut Uzun. This series opened her door to international fame.

Hande and her sister Granze Ercel supported their mother in the difficult process. Sadly , Alyin Ercel died because she was not responding to all treatment and measures.

When her mother was sick, Hande donated bone marrow to her mother and she got an adverse reaction that her face, swelling during and after the process. This affected Hande mentally and physically.
