Kuta Beach is a 2.5-km stretch of cream-colored sand, bordering Legian to the north and Tuban (home of the Ngurah Rai International Airport) to the south. This beach on Bali’s southwestern coast is one of the most popular resort areas in Bali.

 It’s even more recognized among international visitors than the island itself – thanks to its combined features of sun, sand, and surf.

Accommodation ranges from cheap guesthouses to 5-star hotels and resorts, plus thriving bars, nightclubs, and multi-storey shopping malls. Despite the modern and urbanized feel of Jalan Pantai Kuta, the main beach road that runs parallel to the coastline, the beach of Kuta continues to appeal – it’s still a place for Bali’s magical sunsets.

For the past two decades, Kuta Beach has transformed from a fisherman’s village to the leading tourist site in Bali in terms of beach resorts with a long white sand beach view. The transformation of Kuta beach Bali starts in the 1970s.

Many investors see Kuta beach as a great place to invest their money. Most investors build accommodation from bungalows, inns, and five-star hotels. It is housing, but investors create shopping centers, restaurants, bars, and cafes.

Due to the popularity of Kuta Beach Bali, every year, not only international tourists who come to visit, but immigrants from Java and Lombok also find some fortune in Kuta Bali.

Nowadays, if you visit Kuta Beach, traffic jams are the most common thing you see. Seem this daily traffic jam never makes visitors stop visiting Kuta Beach Bali. Freezing traffic jams you will experience during the high season in Bali, which is from July to August and December to January.

Not only is the road crowded, but most of the hotels in Kuta are also fully booked with room charges at high seasons rate. Most road traffic-congested with scooters, meter taxis, and private cars.

White color walls designed with Balinese architecture were built in 2011. This wall has 2 meters high and constructs along the seashore line to block the sand, which was blown away by the wind and hit the restaurant or cafe on the opposite side of Kuta Beach Bali.

Some people consider these walls are blocking the view of Kuta beach. Still, some people find it useful because the sand is not going to the road or restaurant.

To maintain Kuta Beach cleanest, a small vendor cannot sell food on the beach, but souvenirs and drinks are still allowed. Travelers who visit Kuta beach are backpackers and families worldwide. Most come from Australia, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and India. 

5. It is the main attraction spot in Bali

As one of the beach resorts on the island of Bali, Kuta beach is the heart of Bali’s tourism, and maybe I can say, Kuta is the most famous tourist spot in Bali.

The coastline of Kuta beach Bali has 5 kilometers in length, and I can say it is the best coast in Bali. The wide of the shoreline is vast; also, the beach is extensive with fine white sand texture, although the stretch of coastline is so long, always filled with tourists.

The north side of Kuta beach is bordered by Legian Beach.  Meanwhile, on the south side of Kuta beach, it is bordered by Tuban beach and Kelan beach.

The beach’s cleanliness is also maintained; however, during the annual monsoon season, Kuta Beach fills with rubbish when powerful winds push marine debris to the beach, and rivers bring waste from the riverbanks to the coastline of Kuta beach.

Aside from being a tourist spot, Kuta Bali beach is often used as a video shooting location for television series in Indonesia. Local children sometimes get involved in the video shooting, and they are assigned supporting roles.

Unfortunately, video shooting is often disturbed because visitors are always crowded with the beach. In addition to Kuta Bali beach, the most visited beach during holidays is the Bali Pandawa beach.

Visitors will easily find hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, and bars along the Kuta coastline.

Kuta Beach is very safe for a leisure spot, whether for a family holiday with children or a honeymoon. Besides, Kuta Beach’s cleanliness is quite well preserved because the Kuta village community organizes the Kuta beach area.

Therefore, although the Kuta coastline is prolonged, it is always packed with visitors.

10. There are several things one can do while visiting the Kuta Beach Bali

Most tourists who visit Kuta beach in Bali will do sunbathing, swimming, surf, and shopping. Some visitor also likes to hang out at the cafe and enjoy a light meal with a cold beer. The famous local beer in Bali is Bintang beer.

In restaurants, cafes, and hotels, some offer free WiFi to use but don’t expect you to get good internet speed on using free WiFi but still usable for browsing and email.

Kuta beach has a five-kilometer-long shoreline, immaculate and appropriate for sunbathing and swimming. If the weather is bright with the sunshine, you see many girls in bikinis lying down on a white sand beach.
