How to book tickets for the Paris Opera House

If you’ve always wanted to see Pelléas and Mélissande of Debussy in French, being in Paris may be the occasion to do that, so you may be wondering how to book tickets for the Paris Opera House. Our two operas are renowned and also architecturally impressive.

The Opéra Bastille is bright and modern, while the Opéra Garnier is magnificent and has a wonderful painted ceiling, here are the instructions to book tickets for Paris Opera House.

The Opera Bastille is near Place de la bastille, it opened in 1989 for the bicentenary of the French Revolution, and was imagined by Carlos Ott.

The Opéra Garnier is oldest, and located in the 9th arrondissement, it opened in January 1875 and offers almost 2 000 seats! The metro station to go there is “Opéra”, and even of you don’t want to book a ticket for this opera, you should at least go there to take a look at its magnificent architecture.

To book tickets for Paris Opera House: Opéra Bastille or Palais Garnier you have to go on the website of “opera de Paris” (https://www.operadeparis.fr) from this website you will be able to book tickets for both operas.

You can click on the little menu icon at the top left, a white strip will slide from the left and you will be able to translate the website in English if you click on “English”.

Now, at the top right of the website (next to the little guy) you have to click on “Tickets”, the new page will show you the different shows you have on both operas.

Once you’ve chosen, click on the show you want to see, and then choose the date and click on book, then you’ll have to register to pay, that how to book tickets for Paris Opera House!
