Hans Zimmer was born on September 12, 1957, in Frankfurt, Germany. He is a German, film score composer and music producer. The son of Brigitte (Weil) and Hans Joachim Zimmer. He married 2 wives and they are divorced. Hans was blessed with four children namely Jake Zimmer, Zoe Zimmer, Brigitte Zimmer, and Annabel Zimmer.

The German-born songwriter is recognized as one of Hollywood’s most innovative musical talents. He starred in the music video The Buggles Single which became a worldwide hit and the first music video to be aired on MTV on August 1, 1981.

He entered the world of film music in London during a long collaboration with famed composer and mentor Stanley Myers, he soon began work on several successful solo projects including the critically acclaimed using a combination of old and new music technologies.

In 1988 Zimmer’s career became a success when he was asked to score Rain Man for director Barry Levinson. The film earned Zimmer his first Academy Award Nomination for best original score.

Santa Monica-Based Music Studio Media Ventures were founded by Hans Zimmer together with Jay Rifkin. The film score company was based in Santa Monica, California, and was initially known as Media Venture Entertainment Group. However, it was later changed its name after the partners filed claims against each other.

It has been responsible for several successful live-action films such as the transformers, Hancock, Iron Man, Gladiator, the kingdom of heaven, and Pirates of the Caribbean among others.
