Karl -Heinz Rummenigge is a German Football executive and a former professional player. He is 66 years old. He was born 1955 in Lippstadt, North Rhine-Westphalia. Karl was the longest chairman executive  board of FC Bayern München AG  and also a company of German Bundesliga team Bayern Munich.

Rummenigge football player career was a great success with Bayern . His father was a toolmaker who was locally involved amateur club  and Bayern was where Karl’s first caught the eye with his pace. He joined the Bayern Munich in 1974 where he showed his great strength as a dribbler. While he was in Bayern he won the European cup  twice in 1975 and 1976.

Karl took part in the world cup in 1978 with the west German national team in Argentina. The west German team finished in second group stage of the tournament. He also took part in the European championship tournaments.

Karl- Heinz Rummenigge returned to the Bayern club as the vice presidents. He held the position until 2002. This is when he was appointed as the chairman of Executive Board of the newly corporatized football department of the club Fc Bayern Munich.

Karl joined Bayern Munich when he was 18year old in 1974. He had come from the Westphalia the amateur side Borussia Lippstadt. Immediately he joined the Bayern he showed his strength of dribbling tough his scoring qualities were insignificantly.  But after the arrival of coach Pal Csernal he had scored 26 goals  in 1978-1980and became the Bundesliga’s top  striker.

2.He won two European cup twice  while he was in Bayern

While Rummenigge played with Bayern he won  two European cups twice in 1975 and 1976 respectively. Though he didn’t take of the final competition in 1975. His contribution led to defeat of As Saint-Etienne.  It was the same year that he was in part of team that won in the international cup finalist against Cruzeiro Ec from Belo Horizonte.

In the period of Bundesliga the club has won the title in 1980 and 1981. Though the renewed triumph, the European cup was denied and the club had lost against the Aston Villa.

The season earlier Karl was the top scorer in the competition with 6 goal. His contribution led to the success of the club . The German national team found an expression personal honors and was name the German footballer of the year in 1980. Between 1980-1981 he became the European footballer of the year.

 Karl was part of the world cup with West German National Team in 1978 in Argentina. Including the 1882 world cup in Spain and the 1986 world cup in Mexico. The West German team exited in the second group stage of the tournament. Also in 1982 and 1986 world cup the team was runners up behind Italy and Argentina.

Also took part in the two European championship tournament . The west German defeated the Belgium in the final  and won a trophy in 1980 competition in Italy. Karl has accumulated 95 caps and scored 45 goals for west German.

Rummenigge was praised for both footedness and physical strength .He  was one of the most talented in attacking players during his generation. Karl was capable of playing as a second striker, winger or a flat out Centre forward.

He was invited to return to the club in 1991 as the vice president of the club. Karl held the position until 2002. Then he was appointed as the chairman of Executive Board of the newly corporatized  football department club.

He responsible for external relations, new media, board affairs and also was representing  the holding company on national and international boards. When he was holding his position he managed Bayern Munich  to move to their new stadium Allianz Arena

Since he became the CEO of the club  in 2002,  it has managed to win 14 Bundesliga titles, the DFB cup 10 time and the treble twice.

9. Karl Rummenigge  was appointed Honorary chairman of ECA

Karl -Heinz was the acting chairman before officially being elected chairman of the ECA. By then its had 103 member who met for first time on 2008 at UEFA headquarter in Switzerland.

He held his position until 2017 after achieving a considerable success on the behalf of member. Karl established  ECA as the voice of the clubs when he was in office for 9years. In 2017 he was appointed as the Honorary chairman of ECA at the occasion of the 19th General Assembly in Geneva.

10. He was the first German to be inducted to Italy football’s Hall of fame

Rummenigge  became the first German to be inducted into  Italian football’s Hall of fame. He joined the inter Milan from Munich in 1984.Karl was honored by Italian FA president Gabriele Gravina at a ceremony at the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. He was  inducted alongside Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Nesta, Antonio Conte and Zbigniew Boniek. Karl- Heinz spent three year playing for Inter.
