Scotland has one of the most stunning beaches in the UK. The land of the kilt and the home to the tallest waterfall in Britain may be very cold during the winter, but as the sun comes up during the summer, the country has amazing beaches which will amaze you.

There are more than 800 islands in Scotland, which means there are lots of beaches to explore during the warm season. Here are ten stunning beaches you will want to go to!

1. Sandwood Bay

The dreamy Sandwood Bay is located near the Kinlochbervie, lined with pink sand and according to many, is the most beautiful beach in the UK. You also get a backdrop of dunes, noisy gulfs, and a deep freshwater loch. The most beautiful things come with a price and since the beach is in a remote area without a road network, you will need to walk for about four miles but that is not a very big deal if you are to experience such beauty!

2. Seacliff Beach

Seacliff Beach in Scotland offers you a postcard-like kind of experience. It is located in a place tucked away you will not believe such a place exists in Scotland. The Seacliff area has a beach, the 14th Century Tantallon castle, a residential area, and a harbor that dates back to the 19th Century so you get more experience out of one trip! You will get to Seacliff Beach, one has to access it via a private road and one needs to pay an entrance fee, but you will enjoy it!

Enjoy horse riding, walking your dog, swimming, canoeing, surfing, and a little picnic, which can be enjoyed during low tide.

The place is the best for adventure seekers and while very little to do for water lovers, one can hike and enjoy nature here. There is a huge chunk of land where you can access the remains of St Ninian’s Chapel which dates back to the 12th Century. The place is best visited during the summer so if you are in the area during that season, you will need to check it out!

There is a ton of things to do on this beach, swim, surf, walk or just enjoy the clear blue waters and the sun during summer, definitely a must-visit!
