10 Best Bars in Dublin, Ireland

Dublin, Historic City of Dublin. Author Dieglop. WIKIMEDIA

Let’s face it — people come to Ireland, so they can drink Guinness, meet friendly locals, and check out the incredible nature. One of the main perks of visiting Ireland is the never-ending list of bars and pubs that churn out point after point of creamy and foamy Guinness with the white top head. So, where should you go if you are in Dublin for a few days?

Although Temple Bar often takes the cake when it comes to tourists, this doesn’t mean it is the best. If you want an authentic Irish bar experience, check out these pubs that are lesser-known than the big-named pubs near the water.

If you are tired of drinking pint after pint of Guinness, head to The Gin Palace in Dublin for a tasty and mouth watering cocktail that is going to keep you dancing all night long! After all, G&Ts are super popular in Ireland, with most bars offering specials and high-quality gin that can help you avoid that next-day hangover you are dreading so much.

If a gastropub is what you’re after, then head to Grogan’s. This is the best spot to have a chill meet-up with a mate or stop in for a post-work pint. Having a pint of Guinness or Carlsberg and munching on a hot toaster is a mid-afternoon treat.

Known as ‘The Gravedigger’s, the name alone could scare off a few people from coming here. But don’t worry — you won’t need to worry! The name corresponds to the gravediggers who used to frequent here during the early 19th century, keeping the city’s workers well hydrated after their shift. Cozy up to the bar here and have a few pints to get a classic old-school vibe.

The Bar With No Name

We LOVE this bar! Although it is meant to be kept a “secret” with a speakeasy vibe, the secret has gotten out — but still goes here anyways. We love this bar with its homely vibe that makes it feel like you have stumbled into someone’s living room and are hidden behind a fake wall. The anonymity of the bar, sunny rooftop terrace, and tasty cocktails are what make this bar so popular.
