Enjoy a long journey from Copenhagen to Amsterdam by bus. This journey usually takes approximately thirteen hours. Flixbus coach services provide bus services for travelers to Amsterdam.

Flixbus runs the journey daily with overnight services between Copenhagen Central Station and Amsterdam Sloterdijk. The bus departure time is at 9:20 pm from the Kobenhavn Central Station. The cost of the journey is usually €39 to €45.

Traveling from Copenhagen to Amsterdam can be fun by train. Taking a train from Copenhagen to Amsterdam takes over ten hours. However, there are no direct trains that connect from Copenhagen to Amsterdam as you have to make several interesting stopovers in major cities.

Your train stopovers will be in the cities of Osnabrück and Hamburg in Germany. Booking for your train is via the NS International site with the travel prices beginning from €50 one-way. The first train of the day leaves Copenhagen at around 1:01 am while the last one departs at 6:56 pm for the over 11 hours journey.

From Copenhagen, there are up to 3-5x daily ICE or Eurocity train services that connect to Hamburg on a daily basis. These trains take the longer route through Padborg, Kolding, Odense, and Ringsted. The journey usually takes four hours and 40 minutes which is fun-filled. On your way, you will see wonderful views of the terrains, monuments, and landmarks.

From Hamburg to Copenhagen, you will pass through Osnabrück. One has to take the Amsterdam-Berlin Intercity (IC) service trains. They run 5-6x daily to Osnabrück. Through this route, you will be able to see several canals, and beautiful sceneries and also enjoy the climate changes.

These trips can be made simpler if you take the Eurocity train from Copenhagen at 0717 which arrives in Hamburg at 1204. At Hamburg, you can have your wholesome lunch, and interact with the people before going on with your journey. From Hamburg, take the ICE train at 1346 and get to Osnabrück at 1535.

From Osnabrück, get on an IC Berlin train which leaves at 1553 and arrives at 1900. You can also leave Copenhagen at 1117 and arrive in Amsterdam by 2300. 4. From Copenhagen to Amsterdam by Car

Another easier way of getting to Amsterdam from Copenhagen is by car. To cover the more than five hundred kilometers between the two cities, you can hire a car or drive your own car to and fro. It will take you seven hours thirty-seven minutes on road during normal traffic.
