The endless and wonderful chaos which engulfs us is my beat. I enjoy bringing a somewhat distaff view of the arts, politics, and random happenings to the subjects I choose to write about. I have difficulty suffering fools gladly and while accepting, illuminating, and speculating on our human foibles, I always try to take a step back of sufficient distance to see their humor and the pathos. Having spent my life building international companies, living in countries as different as the UK and Brazil, writing for the Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, Rio Times and the Guardian, among others, meeting and enjoying the friendship of a very wide group of vibrant people, my writing is an effort at sharing the wonder of it all.
