First and foremost, a moment of silence in honor of Chadwick Boseman ( in other words, T’Challa). His death was truly heartbreaking and left such a huge gap in the back panther family. This sequence movie even paid tribute to Chadwick, and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. So anyway, this black panther is the hottest new movie in town, and it is still taking the world by storm. Released in November 2022, the movie continues with the story of this superhero who will do anything to safeguard the interests of his people and country. Having passed on, however, he passes down that responsibility to his little sister, Shuri (performed by Letitia Wright), and she does an amazing job in looking after her people.

This story resonated very well with every African in God’s green earth because, for once!! We were portrayed in a good light. For once, the world was told a different story of a different Africa. A story of a motherland that has rare resources, and the world wants a piece of it. Think about it, though. There’s a lot of truth in this analogy. Before colonialism, Africa was the hub of natural resources and peace. Then came colonialism, the white man’s influence, and all that went in a poof. So to see a Hollywood movie trying to keep that history alive and remind black people of their identity is truly amazing. Every time I watch the movie, I feel like saying to the whole world, “it’s about time y’all recognize the gem that is Africa.”

Anyway, this movie has done so well and the way it brought black people from all over the world together was truly heartwarming. I remember when the first black panther was released. Black people were so happy because T’Challa was the first black superhero all of us we’re seeing, to be honest. Every black person (whether a celebrity or just a normal civilian) would make the ‘Wakanda Forever’ hand sign and feel so proud. Oh, man! I had never felt so proud to be a black person as when this movie first came out. We were really united as black people, and we were all proud of our identity and skin color. At that point, it didn’t matter whether you were a black person from Africa, the Caribbean, or America. All that mattered was that we were all black people, and this movie represented us pretty well.

Hopefully, there will be a third, a fourth, and even a tenth one because I don’t see myself ever getting enough of this movie. Looking forward to more Black Panther movies.
