The capital of Ireland, Dublin, is located on the east coast of the country in the middle of the Liffey River. I had been there in 2022, and in this article, I’ll try to show a point of view of how many things the city has to offer, and it should be your next destination.

“Life is too important to be taken seriously”, Oscar Wilde.

With this sentence, the famous Irish writer couldn’t describe the atmosphere of the Dubliners better. In my opinion, Dublin really got an amazing and unique vibe of living life to the fullest, and I could see that with my own eyes, especially in their famous pubs.

The Temple Bar area is where locals and tourists meet to party and have fun, especially in the famous Temple Bar. In my view, one of the most amazing things you can do on a trip is really immerse yourself in the culture of the place, and a couple of weeks before I went to the city, I started listening to some classic Irish songs and I got to tell, it was completely worth it.

I feel like 90% of their music has 4 themes; drinking, dancing, fighting, and partying, so only with that information can you have an idea of how much the people there experience the intense nightlife. Not everywhere you can really go to a pub. Out of nowhere, people started dancing with chairs and singing together, without particularly knowing each other, so I was completely amazed when I saw that happening. I was lucky enough to know one or two songs to sing along with a nice creamy Irish Pint in my hand.

If you want a more detailed perspective, I recommend listening to The Dubliners and catching this unreal vibe I’m trying to describe. And trust me on this one. If you are a beer fan, you’re in the right place. In Dublin, you can go to the Guinness factory and have a day full of tasting different types of one of the most famous beers in the world.

Okay, I know, so far I have only described the nightlife of Dublin, but what if you don’t like going out very much and like more daytime activities? Well, I can assure you, the city also has a lot to offer.

Oscar Wilde statue, Dublin
I think Dublin is one the cities that most value and preserve their culture. The place is full of statues of writers, poets, and people that made a significant change in the country, like Oscar Wilde, which I already mentioned.
Alongside the statues, the city has amazing architecture with lots of churches like St Patrick’s Cathedral, a famous and glorified saint that turned the whole country into Christianity in the XVII century and nowadays is celebrated in lots of other parts of the world on St Patrick’s day.

Besides that, you can really impress yourself in the Trinity College buildings, see the famous Book of Kells, a book with medieval illuminated manuscripts from the 9th century, and the stunning library full of head statues of some famous scholars.
So between this mix of culture, partying, and atmosphere described here, I rest my case of how much Dublin is a special place to visit in Europe, and it should be your next travel destination.
