In today’s post I’ll be sharing with you the best restaurants near the Eiffel Tower! When you think of Paris, the Eiffel Tower is definitely one of the first things that comes to your mind. Constructed for the World’s Fair in 1887, the Eiffel Tower is one of the most iconic sights in all of France, maybe even the world. When visiting the Eiffel Tower, it’s great to make a day of seeing the neighbourhood and other monuments close by. The Eiffel Tower is close to other attractions like Palais de Tokyo, Grand Palais, Avenue Montaigne, and even Arc de Triomphe.
There are a lot of restaurants and cafés near the Eiffel Tower, but how can you choose the best option and avoid tourist traps? If you need a little guidance on where to find great food for lunch or dinner near the Eiffel Tower, read on! This article has my recommendations for the best restaurants near the Eiffel Tower. Bon apétit!
For cozy, family-friendly café classics: Café Central
First up on my list of best restaurants near the Eiffel Tower is Café Central. Within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, this café is located at 40 Rue Cler in the 7th arrondissement. Serving up French classics and modern café favourites, there’s something for everyone at Café Central. Their menu has lots of options, with delicious meat, fish, and vegetarian choices. Whether you prefer to eat inside or outside, Café Central provides a welcoming vibe. Jazz-age decor, a cozy interior and low lighting give Café Central an ultra laid-back atmosphere. The huge terrace outside is perfect for sunny summer days, and in the colder months it’s closed and heated.
For modern cuisine and French comfort food fusion: Chez l’Ami Jean
Another of my picks for the best restaurants near the Eiffel Tower is Chez l’Ami Jean. Tucked away at number 27 on the tiny Rue Malar, this classic French restaurant is a hidden gem. At Chez l’Ami Jean, you’ll find sophisticated cuisine with a modern, Southwestern French touch. Decadent dishes like roast lamb and risotto are offered alongside charcuterie, cheese plates and incredible homemade desserts. Mixing comfort food, classic French dishes, and regional specialities from the South of France, the menu at Chez l’Ami Jean won’t disappoint. The wine menu here is also full of delicious choices, so you can experience some of the best French wine. A great option for lunch, you can have a starter, main dish and dessert for €35. It’s a small, cozy restaurant so booking ahead is recommended if you’re a group of 2 or more.
For an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower: Monsieur Bleu
Monsieur Bleu makes it onto the list of best restaurants near the Eiffel Tower for two reasons. First off, their amazing location. Located at 20 Avenue de New York, the view of the Eiffel Tower from the dining room is incredible! Secondly, their food is a fresh and international take on classic bistro cuisine. Of course, the lunch and brunch options here are spectacular, but I would really recommend that you go to Monsieur Bleu for dinner. After dark, the Eiffel Tower is lit up and sparkles every hour, which you can see perfectly from the dining room. Plus, I think Paris is really the most beautiful at night!
As an added bonus, Monsieur Bleu is actually located inside the modern art museum, Palais de Tokyo! If you’re a modern art fan, you won’t want to miss taking in an exhibition here.
For delicious Greek takeaway: Apollon
This Greek traiteur or delicatessen is next on my list of the best restaurants near the Eiffel Tower. This family-owned deli produces home-made Greek specialities, including the best kebab sandwich in Paris! Kebab is a grilled meat sandwich wrapped in a pita bread and topped with veggies and a sauce if you like. You can customise your sandwich, and I would recommend adding their mouthwatering homemade Tzatziki sauce. Apollon also has traditional Greek foods and desserts such as Spanakopita and Baklava. Depending on your schedule, you can take your food to go for a quick meal, or dine in for a restaurant experience. Apollon is within walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, located at 24 Rue Jean Nicot.
For a picture-perfect French café experience: Café Constant
Next on my list of the best restaurants near the Eiffel Tower is a tiny local favourite. Café Constant is an adorable little café just a few minutes’ walk from the Eiffel Tower at 139 Rue Saint Dominique. When most people picture a French café, the quaint, antique interior of Café Constant comes to mind. Focusing on classic French café fare, Café Constant delivers quality food and service in a truly Parisian setting. Everything from the wine to the cheese plates, main dishes to the desserts, is delicious. There are just 3 tiny tables outside, but these are the best spots for having a coffee! If you have nice weather, I would recommend going to Café Constant in the morning to enjoy a Parisian breakfast outside.
