Where to Eat Noodles in Barcelona
Noodle culture took some time to properly catch on in Barcelona. The Spanish people are partial to rice based dishes; you’ll figure this out the moment you dig into your first authentic paella in the city.
The rest of the world’s global noodle dishes can be found in a few spots around Barcelona. The following are a few of my personal favorites — read on!
Ramen House Barcelona in Barcelona
Ramen are traditional Japanese noodles. The Japanese have their own techniques for noodle preparation that have seen tremendous popularity around the world; these days one can find ramen noodle houses everywhere from New York to right here in Barcelona.
The Ramen House in Barcelona is situated in el Raval. This neighborhood is where you want to be for nightlife, tapas dining, boutique shopping and free guided walking tours.
They cater homemade ramen to meat eaters, vegetarians and even have options for vegans. Vegans should remember to specify no egg when ordering Japanese noodles!
The Ramen House have also created a menu consisting of Japanese tapas plates that are great accompaniments to the noodle main dishes. Great food, reasonably prices, and located in of of Barcelona’s hotspots — ten out of ten!

Sushiya Bentou in Barcelona
Ramen and sushi are usually cuisines served alongside one another, since they are both of Japanese origin. If you head south from el Raval you’ll move into an up and coming neighborhood called Poble Sec.
In Poble Sec one can essentially find everything el Raval has, the nightlife, the bars, the great food, but all at a fraction of the price. It’s a more laid back neighborhood and a lot of students live here, which keeps cost of living low.
Sushiya Bentou is a great, and cheap, spot for an evening of sushi and Japanese noodles. The menu is simple, but they are happy to make dietary alterations wherever necessary.
At Sushiya Bentou two people can easily eat for under €20 combined; thats sushi, noodles and even a beer each.

Món Việt in Barcelona
Back to el Raval we go to find the taste of Vietnam. Vietnamese noodle dishes are very different to the ramen dishes you’re probably accustomed to from Japan. The vegetables in Vietnamese noodles are usually kept fresh and uncooked, which gives the dish crunch and a natural flavor.
Noodles dishes in Vietnam are called pho. Món Việt is undoubtably the best place in Barcelona to enjoy pho noodles.
There are options for all dietary requirements, and Vietnamese noodles don’t usually contain egg. If you are at a loss with what to order, due to the overwhelming variety, they do great tasting plates that will give your portions of different pho with different meats — this way you get to try a bit of everything.
In addition to their noodles, Món Việt also does a variety of traditional Vietnamese starters and mains. It’s an immersive dining experience that puts you right into the heart of Vietnam, while in the heart of Barcelona.
Món Việt also offers imported beers from Saigon. Dining here shouldn’t cost you more than €10 per person.

Red Ant Noodle Bar in Barcelona
The Red Ant Noodle Bar is a hidden gem situated right near another hidden gem called the Barcelona Museum of Chocolate. Let me tell you, the two of these combined as an afternoon out in the city makes for a memorable few hours. Throw a guided walking tour into the mix and you’ve really covered the neighborhood!
The Red Ant Noodle Bar is an Asian fusion kitchen, which means it is one of the best places in town for noodles.
They do Japanese and Korean style noodles, along with various other main meals and starters from around Asia. If you can manage a side dish with your noodle main, the pork buns are not to be missed.
My last visit involved the wok noodles, which I loved. They cater to all dietary specifications with ease; from carnivores to vegans you’ll feel right at home.

Wok To Walk in Barcelona
If you’ve spent some time in Europe you’re probably not a stranger to Wok to Walk. The chain has made its way into all the major cities on the continent, as well as in the Americas.
Wok to Walk is fast food noodles; ideal for the person on the go, or late night take out that you eat in a city park or on the beach. They are not a dine in restaurant, so have a dining spot in mind that you can head to within walking distance of your nearest Wok to Walk.
These are wok fried noodles and the concept is that you build up your dish from the base up. You’ll start with noodles, choose your sauce, add your veggies, select your protein and then top it off with the finishing touches.
In addition to noodles as a base there is also rice, which would be used to create fried rice style dishes.
Don’t let the “fast food” label deter you from this spot. The ingredients are always top quality, they don’t use preservative kept grains or proteins and the stores are always held in impeccable hygiene standards. A great quick fix to any noodle craving while in Barcelona.
