The Best Shoe Stores in Barcelona
Like most Europeans, Spaniards take great pride in their shoe collections. This makes Barcelona a fantastic shopping city, particularly when it comes to shoes!
Here are the stores I would recommend around the city:
Carmina Shoemaker in Barcelona
Best for: Formal
A fantastic atelier for shoes near the Casa Mila in central Barcelona. Visit Carmina for all your formal shoe needs, and enjoy the hands-on service from their very skilled staff.
The majority of their shoes are menswear, however they do keep a range of women’s boots and heels. They’re unique and unlike anything you’ll find in commercial stores throughout the city.
Quality wise, these shoes are hard to beat. If you catch them during a sale you’ll get much bang for your buck, as these are investment-type shoes that are made to last.
OPENING HOURS: MONDAY TO SATURDAY — 10AM TO 8:30PM
ADDRESS: Passeig de Gràcia, 110, 08008 Barcelona, Spain
METRO STATION: Diagonal
Espardenyeria in Barcelona
Best for: Kids
Espardenyeria is a fabulous children’s shoe store in the el Raval neighborhood of Barcelona. The store itself is endless fun for little ones who want the experience of choosing their own footwear, and the variety that they have to offer makes this a favorite for a lot of local parents.
Their loyal customers come back without fail, remarking that the value for money at Espardenyeria is unmatched elsewhere in the city — and that their kids simply love the experience at this store.
OPENING HOURS: MONDAY TO SATURDAY — 9am to 2pm // 5pm to 8pm
ADDRESS: Carrer de Manso, 45, 08015 Barcelona, Spain
METRO STATION: Poble Sec
Best for: Womens Shoes
With a late start to their day, Vialis opens their doors at midday, five days a week. You’ll then enjoy 8 hours of shopping time, with doors only closing at 8pm, just in time for dinner.
This abundant array features everything you could possibly need in terms of feminine footwear. Boots, slides, sneakers, mules and even handbags to match adorn the shelves of this gallery space.
Vialis is value for money and the shoes are made to last. The goods don’t run cheap, but you’ll save yourself having to buy replacement shoes every few months when cheaper ones would have given in.

METRO STATION: Liceu
MBT Sants in Barcelona
Best For: Unique Men and Women
A lesser known shoe seller situated in the shopping district of central Barcelona. MBT Sants is the place to go when you want a high quality, well-made shoe that just about no one else in your immediate vicinity is going to be wearing.
Their range of men and women’s shoes includes workbooks, sandals and functional sneaker. Service wise, the staff are wonderfully accommodating and will go to great lengths to get you the shoe of your choice in style and size.
If you’re in search of medical-grade footwear that is suitable for kitchen work, they do keep a special range and will happily help you in finding the perfect fit.
OPENING HOURS: Tuesday TO SATURDAY — 11am to 7pm

Best For: Italian Men and Women
Sure, it’s normal to want Italian footwear even while in the heart of Spain. If this is the case, then Geox is the only spot that you need to know about!
Known for their breathable, high quality Italian-made footwear, Geox stocks a range of men and women’s shoes for just about every occasion. Their casual wear is particularly popular as all of their shoes are made entirely waterproof. Don’t leave without trying on a pair of their original moccasins — even if just for fun!
In addition to their adult range, Geox does stock some kids-wear too! Waterproofed shoes on little ones goes a long way during the rainy months in Spain.
Note that this is one of very few shoe stores in Barcelona that is open seven days a week!
