1. Praktik Garden

The Praktik company has 5 different hotels scattered around Barcelona, each with it’s own unique theme! They even offer a bakery themed hotel, filled with yummy baked goods that will make your moth water.

But, my personal favorite Praktik hotel is the Praktik Garden, located in the Eixample neighborhood. Are you looking for an oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city? You’ve found it here!

The Praktik Garden calls itself an “urban garden,” and it really lives up to it’s name. There are plants and greenery everywhere, and I just love the minimalistic yet quirky style of this hotel. My favorite touch is the wall of books at their reception desk!

Address: Carrer de la Diputació, 325, 08009 Barcelona, Spain

2. Motor Yacht Boatel

The Motor Yacht Boatel may be my favorite option on this list! I love a good water view, and there’s no better way to get it than to stay on a boat. Located in the Barcelona harbor, enjoy the convenient location and walk to the beach in 1 minute.

You’ll still enjoy all of the amenities that a traditional hotel has to offer at the Motor Yacht Boatel like air conditioning, large beds and plenty of room to store your clothing and other valuables.

Don’t miss their delicious continental breakfast!

3. Violeta Boutique

The Violeta Boutique is also located in the Eixample neighborhood. It is definitely an elegant and chic hotel, but I’d also throw in the word homey to describe it! The people behind Violeta have gone above and beyond to make you feel at home. A fancy home, but a home nonetheless!

You’ll only be a 5 minute walk from Las Ramblas, but the area is quiet and safe. For those of you wanting to go all out, they also offer an attic apartment with a private terrace!

4. Casa Camper

This boutique hotel is located in the central El Raval neighborhood of Barcelona. This is where you’ll find the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, the Las Ramblas streets and plenty of bars and restaurants worth checking out.

The hotel is run by the large shoe company of the same name, and has hotels all over the world. Start with shoes, end up in the hotel business! A bit of an odd transition, but they’ve done an excellent job.

The rooms are beautifully designed and there is a cool cocktail bar in the lower level of the hotel. Rejoice for their 24-hour complimentary snack bar. Some of their rooms feature a large balcony with a hammock as well!

This unique hotel option goes out to all of my environmentally conscious readers (hi, let’s be friends!). The Ecozentric Urban Hostel is all about reducing their carbon footprint.

You can expect to find sheets made of organic cotton, organic shampoo and conditioner and even an ecological toilet!

The hostel also donates to associations that plant trees around the world every time you make a book. Staying in a cool place and giving back? Sounds like a good deal to me.

If you’re looking to stay in a hotel with a really funky design, you’ve found it here! The best way to describe Room Mate Emma is futuristic. It’s also colorful, bright and minimalistic all at the same time.

This hotel is also great for it’s central location and proximity to Las Rambas, some awesome Gaudi architecture and restaurants and bars.

There are some interesting LED light fixtures, modern furniture and stylish decor. Get your cameras ready to take pictures of this unique Barcelona hotel, you’ll want to share with your friends and family!

You can still stay at a unique hotel in Barcelona without breaking the bank! The Hotel Curious is a budget friendly option that doesn’t skimp on the uncommon either.

Their design concept is interesting: each floor is decorated in the theme of 1 of the 4 elements. You’ll find a floor dedicated to earth, wind, water and fire, respectively!

This is done as you can imagine: the water floor is done up in blues, and the fire floor is filled with punches of red, orange and yellow!
