The Hôtel des Invalides was built by Louis XIV to welcome wounded soldiers; it once housed 6,000 invalids and still is partly used as an army hospital. You can now find the brilliant Musée de l’Armée, the “Army museum” inside the complex as well as exhibitions and remembrance events.
